Hooniverse Asks: What is a good offroad podcast title?

Ross and I are creating an off-road themed podcast.

The potential show has a format that will discuss off-road news and topics of interest: overland, rally, desert racing, etc. We discussed the #cybertruck at length on a practice episode.

We also want to talk about what we are doing with our vehicles and those of the other Hooniverse contributors, i.e., Jeff’s Montero, Kamil’s (and Ross’! — RB, obviously) unshaken love of 4Runners, even Robby’s Saabaru. In the vein of a traditional Hooniverse-based podcast, nothing is out of the cards for what we’ll cover. But we’ll be focusing on anything and everything off-road, four-wheel-drive, four-wheeling, overlanding, and so on. If it operates off-road, it’s fair game.

This leaves us with a question: what should we call our yet-to-be-named 4×4 podcast?

Get Lost was a suggestion, but search results return many podcasts covering the television show, LOST. A personal favorite is Going Nowhere with Hooniverse, but Jeff claimed it as the title of his autobiography.

Other suggestions include: Trail Hugger Podcast, The Life of Dirt with Ross & Chris, Trail Heads, Aired Down, Roaming & Rambling and Talking Dirt. We’ve also considered Trail StoriesTrail TalesDirty and DentedHigh Centered, and so on. Clearly we’ve spent some time brainstorming. And now we turn to you for suggestions.

What do you think? What would you call it?

I like that Motor Trend show where Fred Williams does another off road build each episode. But that’s his full time gig, and I assume youse guys have day jobs.

So, Dirt Every Once in a While.

I’d be down for Dirt Every Day, but yep it would have to be a full time gig.

I really like Two Track Mind.

In my head, I went through several ideas with similar plays on the word “dirty”, but somehow never landed on Talking Dirty. It seems so obvious.

I’d still vote Two Track Mind.

The Pod Less Casted? I like smalleyxb122’s far better, mind you, but something along a “road less travelled” idea came to mind.

      The Pod Less Casted

I’d assume that’s a podcast about fly fishing, and move along immediately.

You’re right – if I ever get into fly fishing, at least I’m set now.

“Unstuck” – that’s the one I was to post. I like the shortness and the positive “…finally” feeling recognizable to everyone who, after some effort, got there.

To boldly go where roads go around?
    Rock crawling, Scissor lift, Paper..trail?

I’m not good with this, but B- for effort!

These are all great IMHO: Trail Huggers, Trail Heads, Roaming & Rambling, Talking Dirt, Trail Tales, Off The Road Again, Two Track Mind, Unstuck
