Your Very Own Corvette Stingray Concept

The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray concept. Shown at the 2009 Chicago Auto Show, it was a radical departure from the current C6.  The concept made a callback to the original Stingray with its split-window back end.  The best feature of the concept was its ability to transform into a 20-foot-tall robot. Okay, maybe that was standard on the car in Transformers 2.

Well, you can buy your very own Corvette Stingray concept. Sort of. Kind of.

A eBay seller in Utah is selling a home-built version of the Corvette Stingray concept. The homebuilt concept is based on a 2005 Corvette chassis. The body pieces are custom to the car. It comes with a LS2 motor, automatic transmission, and  several Stingray badges, demoting its special status.

As of this writing, the bid stands at $12,522.00 with the reserve not met.
