Quite a headline, isn’t it? The event is an answer to the question I’m sure many of you have been pondering, “What is the sports car scene like in Norway?”
The Vårmønstringen is a spring awakening of sorts. Held by the Norwegian Sportscar Club, it’s one of the biggest yearly automotive events in Norway, and this year’s gathering was the 40th so far. These photos by Hooniverse reader and power enthusiast Adrian Jektvik show just how diverse the scene can be.
And yes, there was a Koenigsegg there.
Exotic Europeans clash with classic American metal, as cars come out of their winter storage, chrome glistening and V8:s rumbling.
V10:s and V12:s, too.
Datsun Z:s are perfectly paired with old Corvettes. Check out those fender mirrors.
Bugatti perfection.
An amazingly rare Frazer-Nash DKW prototype from 1955.
Luckily, Miatas were at hand to balance the more expensive cars. This one, though, had a Porsche badge, so it must have been worth a little bit more than a regular one without a Porsche shield glued on the front.
Wide, wide rubber on this Pantera.
As a Donkervoort driver, Adrian is keen to get pics of Seven derivatives.
Cosworth turbo engine on this one. It must be seriously quick.

With Norwegian car and fuel prices most of the owners must be seriously wealthy.
What’s that one-wheeled Segway-like thing on the first photo?-
one of these, i’d bet.

Nice collection! I’ve never made it to our local “vårmønstringen”, but I have a plan to do so every year, sic.
With all the license plates displayed, you can check info like producer, weight, power, wheel size info and such here:

I guess, reds are temporary plates, but what about these, very old normal plates or Historic plates?

Usually just an old plate, but this one has a cool twist: It’s obviously a Datsun 240Z, but also a ’70 model –

I don’t see any grille badges in those photos. What’s a club without grille badges?

Our P-mønstring is in three weeks. I need to get new brake lines ordered, delivered, and installed until then, so I can benefit from the free workshop advice from the local P-dealer for the rest of my todo list… I need it.
Oh Mrs. Nanoop, the loong weekend doesn’t suit me really well, like, not at all?
