Weekend Edition – May 1st Cruise: The Classics

While the earlier post showed off the older metal, here’s where we move on to the slighly newer saloons and large coupes of the ’60s et cetera. Again, the cut-off is somehow vague, so don’t hang me high.

It also seemed everything on this quintessentially Finnish parking lot needed to be parked next to a modern Corvette to really stand out.

Just like this brown 1968 Cadillac, too. Ah, just take in the brownness.

This Oldsmobile 98 is more of a redwood hue. Perfect, still.

Coronet with flames.

Another Coronet 440, in yet another earthen hue. It dwarfs the Anglia.

In comparison, this AMC Rebel was absolutely gnarly. I don’t know if my tetanus shots are up to date, so I didn’t get closer.

This Fairlane wasn’t too honed, either, but definitely hooned.

Bling was present, too. Not a wheel choice I would’ve made, but to each their own.

Surprised that you found a Pep Boys parking lot in Finland.

Does a typical Pep Boys parking lot look like that? Because around here that's a pretty extraordinary parking lot..

Even though it's Whirlpool, this is the funkiest microwave oven I've ever seen. It looks more like a CRT TV:

I dig the '62 '61 Pontiac – there's a black '62 Star Chief four-door sedan parked at one of the body shops here in town. In decent shape, only needing a paint job. And, it looks familiar seeing everyone bundled up on May 1st – in Dallas, it was 38F on Friday morning, breaking a 110-year-old record of 41 for May 3rd.

The '66 Olds Dynamic 88 may be Burgundy Mist (the same color as Chevy's Madeira Maroon):

Brown Caddy needs some new springs. But what about the brunette with the Olds 'vert?
