While looking for the odd and the unusual, I came across this distinctive car being offered by a dealer in Staten Island, of all places… This is a 1982 Isuzu I-mark Sedan that was part of the General Motors T-Series of rear wheel drive, compact cars offered during the 70’s and 80’s. This was one of the last T-Series cars offered in the US (It did live on in South Korea as a Daewoo until 1989, and in Latin America as a Chevette until 1998) and by this time the platform was at least a decade old. So, would you want to own a modern antique?

This Isuzu is actually on eBay listed as a Suzuki (oops!) so I’m not sure it will get the eyeballs needed to sell the vehicle. This is just unusual enough to peg all the WTF meters, from the Gun Metal finish to the eye popping red interior. According to the listing:

This One Owner Survivor comes to us from California, it has 5 Speed Manual Gearbox, Power Brakes, Fog lights, Tape / AM / FM and Air Conditioning.

They have also completely rebuild the Carburetor. 5 Speed Gearbox feels Perfect, shifts without any problems, without delay, and without noise. Clutch kit was replaced by us. The exterior is in Excellent shape for a 1982. The Two Tone paint looks great with absolutely no rust anywhere on the car. Cloth Seats, Carpet Floor and Glass are all in Great shape. Interior of this car is Nice and Clean.
This Isuzu has 4 matching Tires that are mounted on Good straight rims.

There is 3 days to go until the auction ends, and the dealer wants $4,500 for it. Yes, it is unusual, and you will never see another one pass you, but is it really worth the asking price? I’m not so sure, but what do you think? See the listing here. [sc:ebay itemid=”131094454947″ linktext=”1982 Isuzu I-Mark” ]
