V.I.S.I.T.: The Reptilian Honda

The driver was quite pleased that I was snapping photos of his car. I imagine it's quite good at getting attention.

I’m stealing borrowing the “V.I.S.I.T.” acronym from our wonderful Jo Schmo, since nothing else quite seems appropriate. It stands for “Vehicles I Saw In Traffic”, and was simply the best I could come up with for this one. Although with this car, I’m not entirely sure that anything would be completely appropriate.
Yes, it’s been completely re-done in a reptilian theme, complete with scales — which appeared to be hand-painted, just think how long that must have taken — over the entire body, a dorsal fin, and a tongue. That kind of dedication to your art requires commitment. Or, it requires that you should be committed. One or the other.

Whoa, V.I.S.I.T. has not gotten much attention lately. I suppose because I haven't seen anything worth sharing in quite sometime.

Hey, it's weird and cool enough for me. The painstaking hand-paintedness tips the scales in its favour.
I bet it's running rather sluggishly up there this time of year, though.

That took me a second to get, but very clever. Well done to you!

Something about a lizard sunning itself on a rock occurred to me, but I couldn't get it all to gel into a decent comment.
      Kudos to F.P….!

This definitely goes back to the age-old argument about what is and isn't art. This, sadly enough, is art. It's not good art, but it is nonetheless art. That's OK, though. Because in the absence of bad art we wouldn't know what good art is.

Exactly the first thing I thought when I saw the car!

So, did it have Cobra or Viper badging? Was it being chased by a Mongoose Camry?

      or perhaps Roy Wort?

If the rear bumper gets torn off, can it grow a new one?

Yes. Yes it can. It can also detach its front bumper, enabling it to swallow whole, other cars nearly as large as itself.

I'm at a loss on how you post pictures here and am too lazy to look it up on intensedebate.
It's really too bad those ricer boys can't come up with anything original.

I think you can get a little bit more out of the Reptilian Cars tag by using it for Cobra and Viper. And who knows, this might become a trend. Big things for 2010.
