V.I.S.I.T. – Beer, Brats and Seaweed Edition

My friend Shawn was cruising the old stomping grounds this past weekend and came upon something pretty cool – an Amphicar. Made in Germany from 1962-1967, Amphicars were a hot selling item (relatively speaking) in the US. I say this because of the 4500 produced, about 3700 were sent to the states.  On a good day, only a smattering of the 500 estimated to be left in existence are still cruising the waterways of the world. By the looks of the seaweed on this pristine model, I’m guessing the owner had just done a float by of Bradford Beach and rolled straight out of Lake Michigan onto the streets of the Third Ward in Milwaukee for some beer and brats. Good times.
