V.I.S.I.T.: 1989 BMW E24 635CSi

Though by no means perfect, when I drove by this scorching white 6 Series, I had to stop and snap some pictures.  So long as you can count the number of previous owners with one hand and it has been regularly maintained (and documented), this would make a fun daily driver.

A check of California’s smog check database shows that this car passed without a hiccup or any shenanigans. 

Truth be told, I am quite enamored smitten with those alloy wheels.  They look brand new and are both timeless and scream I HEART THE ’80S.

Could the beauty of this particular car be due to its small bumpers?  Is this a grey market import?  Didn’t the feds stop those imports before 1989?  Could the European E24’s bumpers be even more petite?
