Then you notice the paint and it appears that this is just another heavy duty truck modified for armored SWAT duty, that’s been further modified for armored luxury lifestyle. Except that this isn’t a heavy duty truck. It has not been modified for SWAT service. And it’s isn’t in any way luxurious.

This is Toyota 4Runner SR5, a base model too, without leather seats or a sunroof. And it’s has been modified to look like a heavy duty truck that’s been modified for SWAT duty, and then repurposed as a luxury lifestyle vehicle. So, it’s a replica of a replica of a replica. Or something like that.

Yes, the seller’s website does have over 100 pictures of this creation, if what we have posted here isn’t enough for you. No, we really don’t know what the hell is going on here. Some observations:

• There is a lift kit installed, one is needed to fit 33-inch tires on a 4Runner.
• Rear taillights seem to be off a Chevy Tahoe.
• I think those are factory running boards.
• Ford Super Duty door handles.
• Custom dual exhaust.
• Good quality rear off-road bumper and spare tire carrier.
• The interior is completely stock.
• Nowhere on the website is the overall look and body modifications even mentioned. We’re assuming they let the pictures do the talking.
• We don’t know what else is and isn’t going on here but we think someone had a plan. The quality actually appears to be pretty solid-ish?

We love and own 4Runners around here.  But in this case we are… just trying to un-see this.
