Your idea of the glory days of Saturday Night Live will certainly vary from my own. But I think we can all agree that SNL has been cranking out some comedy gems for decades now. This next one is threaded, but I’m sharing it for David Alan Grier’s amazing bit. He portrays Maya Angelou shilling for Pennzoil, and it’s fantastic.

One of the keys to a few of those above is undoubtedly Phil Hartman. He was an ace pitchman whenever SNL asked him to jump into that role.
