Here at Hooniverse we typically shy away from the glut of press releases. There are better places to read the latest news. However, some releases that cross my inbox deserve mention. Last week I received such a news item. Aston Martin makes beautiful, expensive sports cars and they have quite the stable as their lineup currently stands. You can choose from the V8 Vantage, DB9, Rapide, and the DBS. Recently, they added a new two-door into the mix by taking the much loved 6.0L V12 engine and ramming it into the engine bay of the Vantage. Sadly this car was not destined for US shores…until now.
Due to unprecedented customer demand, Aston Martin is giving folks what they want – a Vantage that screams forth with 510 hp, 420 lb-ft of torque, and a top speed of 190 mph. If the standard V12 Vantage is not exclusive enough for you, Aston Martin will let you order a special Carbon Black edition (similar to the available package on the DBS).
Lucky sonsofbitches customers who order the V12 Vantage can expect to take delivery starting in the 4th quarter of this year. The price is yet to be announced.
