The 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed kicks off to a good start

The 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed got underway today and it’s already looking like the place to be if you love all things automotive. Over on the Goodwood YouTube channel, they’ve been running a live stream all day. But they’ve also been putting out clip videos as well. I grabbed the one below which shows what the Goodwood crew deems to be the best runs of the day. And I’m not one to argue as it showcases a handful of great machines.

Still, there were a bunch of awesome things going up the hill that didn’t make it into the video above. When I clicked on the live stream earlier in the day I saw tons of side-by-side and what looked to be almost Ultra4-grade buggies and truggies driving up Lord March’s driveway.

There’s still a whole lot to make the run as the weekend unfolds. Hyundai will have its newly revealed 641-hp Ioniq 5 N make the dash. Maserati is saying goodbye to its V8 engines with two special models that will be onsite. Subaru probably has a few tricks up its sleeve. And the various pro drifters on site will no doubt leave their many marks on the pavement.

Keep your eyes peeled on the Goodwood channel throughout the weekend to capture some of the action.
