The 2022 Lexus LX 600 is 90 Percent a Land Cruiser

It’s not the 300-Series Land Cruiser, but the 2022 Lexus LX 600 is pretty darn close. We no longer get the Cruiser here in North America as the LX 600 is now the defacto full-bore big off-roader from the Toyota family. And that’s actually not bad when you consider it has a powerful twin-turbocharged V6, an amazing interior, and also you don’t have to look at the front of it when you’re inside of it.

Still, it would be awesome to see Lexus offer an optional locking rear differential. That would take this to another level. As it sits now though? It’s 90 percent a 300-Series Land Cruiser..

That green is a fantastic colour, but the front grille really is just another drop in the bucket for our reality being full-blown satire.

I bought a 2015 LX570 two years ago – I insisted on a J200 that hadn’t been hit with the ugly stick and didn’t have the large-mouth bass treatment, and 2015 was the last year of acceptable appearance. Plus, this LX600 got rid of the split tailgate – it’s a full liftgate now. Ugh.
