Na-Na Na-Na Na-Na Na-Na BATMAN!

You’ve already installed bat-poles in the foyer, but the bat cave is mostly filled with spiders. Adam West has a restraining order against you. Your yard is littered with ineffective batarang prototypes. And worst of all, your girlfriend refuses to wear the Catwoman suit you carefully stitched out of plastic bags. Maybe you’ll take things to the next level with a Batmobile of your own!

BAM! No obnoxiously costumed villain will be able to outrun your 440 inch Chrysler motivation!

POW! Fiberglass construction prevents lame Bat-rust!

Holy smokes! Those ladies are hot on our tails!

ZONK! Girls (and possibly your sidekick Robin) will swoon!
No word on whether the replica includes such bat-features as the Emergency Bat-Turn Lever, or the deliciously punful Bat-tering Ram. What it does include is a questionably placed battery behind the driver’s seat, a load of faux accouterments, and Torque-Thrust wheels with Bat-spinners! With plenty of bidding action, the current price sits at $15k with 2 days and some change to go, so ask Commissioner Gordon for a loan and get the cape out of storage!

Adam West probably approves of this.

I call shenanigans. Bruce Wayne drives a Chrysler product. Batman drives a Lincoln. Next thing you'll be telling me they're the same person.

That's not a Lincoln, it's a 1965 or 1966 (don't remember offhand) Imperial. It was styled under the aegis of Elwood P. Engel, though, who designed the 1961 Continental while at Ford.

Yeah, that's what I meant to get at. IMCDB (where I got the picture) says it's a '66, for what it's worth (not much).

    "…and Torque-Thrust wheels with Bat-spinners!"
With the litany of other faux items on the car, I can allow the calling the functionless hub adornments "spinners", but since this is the internet, where everyone is an expert, I must point out that those are not Torque-Thrust wheels, but rather Cragar S/S rims.

A usual I looked at all the pretty pictures first before reading anything.
The first thing I noticed was the Saginaw power steering pump under the hood, along with Mopar style brackets. Then I noticed the exhaust manifold and got all excited "Hey, that's a Chrysler big-block! Wait a minute…" Just about the time I started to congratulate myself I read the caption… "440 Chrysler". Oh. Ok now I feel like a dork.
This dork however would gladly be THAT guy running around in his own personal Batmobile if I had the cash. I mean seriously, no one would ever know it was you… right? Right?
    Guys?

I want the "fuax rocket launchers". Wouldn't you? And I want the seller to throw in a can of Shark Repellent Bat Spray.

Personally, I'm going to hold out until a replica of the Ambiguously Gay Duo's vehicle is available…

That Batmobile is a very, very poor replica. The lines are all off, and the interior looks like crap. This is a picture of a properly done Batmobile that is owned by a Dallas radio host, Russ Martin (scroll down to his and look at the pics). It's based on a Lincoln and not a Chrysler, and the lines are faithful to the original Futura based Batmobile.

But you see, if you had that well-done Batmobile, your GF would hold out for a non-garbage-bag Catwoman suit, and that's expensive!

True, but some things, like Batmobiles and real Catwoman suits, are worth the extra $$$'s.

First off their not "bat poles" in the den, I just tell people that.
A little sorting and this would be fun as heck to cruise around in. I bet you all sorts of Bat Women wanna be's would come out of the wood work with this. That would be fun too…..until the doctor visits.

I can't wait until this falls off the front page. Every time I see it, the theme to Batman keeps looping in my head.
