Mystery Car

mystery_car_25_04_14 On this date in 1901 New York became the first state in America to require motorists to affix license plates to their cars. Oh, the state didn’t actually provide the plates, that was up to the individual owners who typically would strap a plaque on their car displaying their initials. What simpler times those were. Things are much more complicated today, but if you’re like me, you still enjoy life’s simple pleasures like trying to solve the weekly Hooniverse Mystery Car contest. Of course not to complicate matters any, but we do ask that for full credit you include the make, model, likely engine under the hood, and year range in your answer.
