Mystery Car

In the song Mystery Achievement, Chrissie Hynde just wanted to get out on the floor and do the Cuban Slide. Solving today’s Mystery Car may make you want to get up and dance, but first, you’re going to have to do the heavy lifting and figure out what it is.

Those of you familiar with our weekly contest will know that to gain full credit you’ll need to come up with the make, model, likely engine, and year-range. That’s not so hard, now is it? And, doing so should fill you with pride as the Mystery Achievement feels so unreal. . .

      Of the early '80s variety.

Agreed, most likely an early example from 1979 to 1983. The engine is the now legendary Busso V6 (2.5 liter in this car).

This particular one does not have that engine however. It's a little different.

Correcticate me if I am wrong, but wasn't the diesel engine the only other choice? So then, I would say the I5 diesel.

I don't know jack about Alfas, but a little online reading seems to say they has a 2.0 V6 for a few years as well. Even so, I'd stick with the turbodiesel (also a 2.5L, oddly enough) being in this one, since we're on Hooniverse.

Being an Italian raised in an Alfacentric family, it was like seeing a slice of a beloved relative's face…
hope I could compete more in this contest, but I usually read the page when the mistery has been resolved! different time zones!
