Modern Art Monday: The Packard Convertible Edition

So, as this olelongrooffan mentioned, this past weekend was a pretty damn awesome car show down here in Daytona Beach. There were millions of dollars of pretty awesome vehicles but this one just really struck my fancy.

In front of the News Journal convention center was a gathering of a bunch of new high end cars which will be featured this week. But it was this sweet old Packard that captured the attention of this olelongrooffan.

It was featured at the Winter Park Concours booth and was in the show this past year. I have attended that Concours many times and all of the vehicles featured in it are just as cool.

I didn’t get the year of it but I’m going to place it in the late 20’s or early 30’s of the last century.

You gotta love a four door convertible with a real trunk on the rear.

And the four headlights out front with the side spare tire mounted mirrors just take the cake in my humble opinion.
