If this was the inspiration for the Edge, what the hell happened? I think the PR department got their wires crossed. You can name the soccer mom-mobile the Fiesta, cause this has Edge written all over it:

Hmm, my post seems to have disappeared. Well, quick version:
I think the guys in Ford's PR department got their wires crossed on that inspiration. They were supposed to name the soccer mom-mobile the Fiesta, so this could be the Edge:
