Last Call- Favorite Son. . . NOT Edition

From the culprit’s son’s Flickr posting:

This was my mom’s 289 Cobra. The brakes faded while racing at Willow Springs and ran off the race into a small ditch. The sad story was that is was sold as is thus it wasn’t handed down to me! She was the #1 California Women’s State Champion (3rd overall – including men’s).
BTW, my dad crash two 427 Cobras! One he rolled 5 times, another hand me down lost!

That is quite a photo. I would have just run, as quickly as possible, away.

I just checked out his Flickr page. Lots of great photography.

Please, PLEASE tell me nobody wrecked that gorgeous Lincoln. That would have been a shame, too.

Oddly, it's not the Cobra that drew my attention, but rather that beautiful continental in the background.
And on a completely unrelated side note, I'm told my evil and opposite brother, sometimes known by the alias "Joe Schmo" is around here somewhere. If found, please return him to his Facebook page.

Were Cobras so cheap it was easier to buy a new one instead of fixing them up? 🙁

This guy needs to stop whining and buy his own Cobra if he wants one.
His dad did some cool things, and had good taste in cars. He should enjoy that fact, and stop coveting dad's stuff.
    Nice pic though.

True enough. Sounds like his dad had good taste in women too!

What is it with the current generations "Entitlement Complex"? They all think the world OWES them something. Pisses me off [/rant]

You might be taking it a bit too literally. The guy is just reminiscing and dreaming about what could have been; we all do. My dad had a 72 Trans Am that he sold shortly after I was born. Smart move on his part, but something that I still wish he hadn't done.

I do not think this guy belongs to the "current generation" in almost any definition of the word. I think he's in his 40's or 50's at this point.

Hey… what's that supposed to mean?
