Ken Block’s 1977 Ford F-150 Hoonitruck can be yours for $1.1 million

That’s a lot of coin… but that’s a wild machine.

Ken Block’s amazing 1977 Ford F-150 turned Hoonitruck is for sale. Offered by brokerage firm LBI Limited, the asking price is a crispy $1,100,000. And I’ll be honest, that price doesn’t shock me for what’s being offered here. The Hoonitruck features a monstrous 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost engine developed by Ford Performance and Roush Yates. This isn’t a tuned Raptor engine but a mighty mill plucked from the Ford GT Le Mans racing program. It produces 914 horsepower and 702 lb-ft of torque, and it’s backed by rally-proven Sadev 6-speed sequential gearbox.

Pretty much everything you’re going to find on this is a one-off special for the truck. Ken has heavy demands for what he wants from a Gymkhana vehicle, and this truck is no exception. And I’d argue it’s one of, if not the, coolest machine he’s used in his videos. The Mustang is awesome, and all the rally cars are great, but this truck rules extremely hard.

Yes, it’s a lot of money to ask for a heavily modified old truck. But obviously, the Hoonitruck is much more than that. It’s a wicked exploration into what’s possible on a money-is-no-object built for a driver who plans to deliver tremendous vehicular abuse. The resulting vehicle is incredible, and I suspect someone is going to spend that much for “an old truck”.

  1. I can’t see this post or David’s Pt. 2 post from yesterday, on my Windows / Firefox machine.

Anyone else a victim of Nibbles The Ravenous?

    1. weird… why the hell would that be happening… I can see it on multiple machines

      1. Beats me. Maybe my ad blocker? I can view recent posts on laptop only by clicking the author’s name and viewing all their posts.
Also my comments get marked as spam unless I use my phone / mobile site.

        1. hmm, very strange. We’re trying to figure out the post issue. I don’t see the 3 most recent posts when I view them in Incognito.
Also re comments, we’re still examining better alternatives to this lame-ass comment system.

    2. Windows/Chrome, and anything from David’s second post and newer didn’t show for me until just now (and commenting on the Alfa post while going direct to the URL got me flagged as spam).
