I Don't Think This is an April Fool's Joke

The Chrysler/Maserati TC has gone down in history as one of the more horrible offspring of two parents who may have imbibed too much chianti on the night of conception. That combination of Chrysler chassis and Maserati-modded motor lived up to neither the sporting pretensions of the Italians, nor the luxury pedigree of previous Chryslers.
But doing the reverse should have the opposite effect, right? Here’s an ’84 Quattro Porte with what looks like a Mopar 318 under the hood. Now, where the original 4.9-litre DOHC motor has gone goes unexplained, but I’m sure its 280-bhp will be missed. Still, $3,950. . .
If this is an April Fools joke, it’s a pretty elaborate one.

    Hmmm
Didn't the Quattroportes of this era run Mopar slushboxes?

Running before parked = not running until $10,000 of work is put into it.

Why wasn't this one of the Maserati's that got clunked for cash?

See, I was going to make a backhanded comment about Jersey, but the add is for South Carolina. So, here goes South Carolina…. um.. North Carolina is better! Tar Heel FTW!

Wait. Running before parked? Does that mean it was pushed to where it is now? You'd usually say "running when parked." I wouldn't get anywhere near this nightmare.

Ah, the infamous "ran when parked". Is it a "good car for work and school", too? I remember seeing one of these when they were new. Sweet, especially the crinckle finish paint and upholstered fenderwells underhood.
