Here's What Happens When You Mix Irish Whiskey and Crayons

The Volkswagen Iltis, my future off-road toy of choice — at least until I can afford a Unimog.

The Hooniverse editorial gang were having a rather strange chat the other night, and decided we should do something green-themed for St. Patrick’s Day. Then we realized that we were probably all going to be drinking far too heavily to attempt anything coordinated. Then, at some point, someone suggested that we all get some paper and some crayons and do something car-themed while we were drinking.
My St. Paddy’s Day didn’t go fantastically well; all the people around me got rather ill at the same time, and as such we had to scrap our pub-going intentions. To that end, I sat at home with a nice glass of whiskey, and got to work with the crayons.
I suspect I may have been the only one who did, but I think it gives a bit of insight into the Hooniversal Hive Mind. We’re all a bit odd.

Awesome. Just fantastic. I like the attention to detail – tough to do in raw crayon.
Now you just need to claim you're 5 or 11 years old, and sell it on ebay for some phat stacks.
I wish I had time to do this myself. When I get home I'll have to look for the pencil drawing of a GMC Fishbowl Bus I doodled in college. And our family's old 'nada as well, but people are probably sick of hearing about that.

You drew that? Damn, mad skills yo!

Dood, you're Canadian. You want the Bombardier version

No way man. Since when has Bombardier ever made anything of quality?
      Besides the Ski-Doo.
      And the Sea-Doo.
      And their quads.
      And their planes.
      And their trains.
…okay fine, their stuff is great, but their Iltis is pretty well crap.

I saw an Iltis for sale the other day. It didn't have a matching crayon drawing, so I didn't give it a second thought.

Oh, it's on now. I am going to get crayons after work and draw my Eleanor. You are too artistic. I DO hope you frame that.

Well phoo… the bus is missing for the moment, but here's the 'Nada. From memory alone in the dark ages of 1995.

Excellent, Mr. Dearthair, and very detailed. I'm impressed. I haven't been able to see any pics here all day, until now. There was just a black rectangle about .5" wide and 7" long.

It's probably a good thing I didn't follow through on that plan as it would have probably dissolved into a bizarre Superbad-ish art obsession ending with me curled up in the fetal position on the bathroom floor. Actually I did end up on my bathroom floor, but at least I still have my dignity.

I know the feeling – it's impossible to draw on toilet paper with a crayon.

True, but laundry markers work great. So I've ummm heard…
