For Sale: Audi 2.7 Biturbo quattro Backyard Special

Despite a striking resemblance to Top Gear’s garden shed electric car, the Hammerhead Eagle iThrust, this Audi-engined backyard special isn’t as painfully slow. Painful it might be in the wrong hands, and I suggest you wear a helmet when trying it out, but then again it’s rather affordable at 5000 EUR. Or is it? You tell me.

As far as I can tell, underneath all that sheetmetal and tubing is a 1997-2004 (C5) Audi A6 Avant 2.7 Biturbo quattro running gear.
The creation’s ad notes it down as a 2008, but that is probably the year this concoction has been welded together. And if it’s stayed together for a few years now, that must stand as a testament to build quality, or the crafter’s carefulness in running the thing.

It’s a 184kW/250-horsepower version with craftier injectors and a 6-speed manual box. It’s for sale on the Finnish archipelago island of Åland, where cars are usually a bit better than on the mainland. And since it’s already on an island, you should just sail down there and go pick it up. Does 5k sound bad for a 250-horse 4WD death wish?
