I love that none of the spectators seemed in any hurry to get out of its way. I’m pretty sure I’d move. There is a limit to how much I trust a chain link fence, and catching a runaway motorcycle exceeds that limit.

Notice everyone runs across the path of the motorcycle instead of away from it?

    Ghostride the whip
Gonna take it for a stroll
    Ghostride the whip
    Walkin’, walkin’, walk and roll
    If you trippin’ on yourself
    You’ll be chasin’ that whip
Don’t do it like that shawty
    Do it like this
    You’ll get yourself killed
If you don’t do it right
Throw it down into coast to
    Step to the side
    Too obvious?

That’s one helluva tankslapper! Guess the rider never heard of a deadman switch?

My Dad did that form of racing in the ’60’s. He had a Harley, running a 125cc. He did it twice and quit. He called it “a easy way to die” and thus he went to having a Harley for hill climbing. Ya, that is safe. Then he was drafted right when Ducati wanted sponsor him to go big time.
I still have his Harley Hill Climb bike in the barn, disassembled, awaiting for one of us to restore it….#114. ’49 frame, ’61 front suspension and a ’59 165cc single.

You’ve gotta have gigantic cojones to be a speedway racer. Damn things run (I think) 500cc methanol burning engines, no brakes. Flat track racing is crazy enough, but this is insane. Love the way that bike went over the fence like it was pissed off at those poor people.
