Craigslist Egregiousness: Define "Project"…

Datsun Pickup ProjectDatsun Pickup Project

This may well tie the E-Type “Project” we covered before for the Hooniverse Biggest Stretch of the Word Project Award. The ad is billed as a “73 Datsun Bulletside PreRunner project”, but typically we do not consider the automotive equivalent of a Popple to be a project. We consider it to be a pile of parts folded in upon itself. But hey, it comes with a rollcage already installed!

It's a Datsun 720 truck, I've got one that only needs body work and it's diesel. Too bad that box is in LA cause it looks to be in good shape and the one on my truck is rusted to shit.

It's already broken up for shipping!

Right so I can pay as much in shipping as it cost to buy the damn thing, that and all I need is the box.

"Bulletside". Apparently the locals have been using it for target practice.

So, this guy wants us to haul away his junkpile and pay him three bills for the privelege. Sounds like a great deal for him.

The bed would make a nice trailer, but this beats the Jag for "positive thinking project"

I've got a 40 gallon Rubbermaid tote full of left over parts from when I had a Fiat 850. I was going to put them on ebay individually, but it looks like the thing to do now would be just sell it as a project car.

During the carpocalypse that was Cash for Clunkers, many people were unloading their car because it was easier to take it to a dealer and get a guaranteed $3500 to $4500 for it rather than listing it on autotrader and hoping for a sale. People are lazy.
