We’ll have a look at the one that got us the most hot and bothered in a sec, but first this week’s challenge. Last week the very last Land Rover Defender rolled off the assembly line in Solihull bring to an end its 7-decade reign as Britain’s most iconic off-roader. Let’s celebrate that accomplishment this week by finding the best – and most interesting – of Land Rover’s products presently offered for sale. Range Rovers and LR2s count too! As was discovered by many of you last week, the specific level of AMG-ness in many Benz’s can vary substantially. That ranged in our pursuit from the simple inclusion of AMG wheels on this 1997 E420 found by Lokki, all the way up to the balls-out-ness of this 300 SEL 6.3 AMG tribute located by Manic_King. Our winner fell right in the middle of those extremes. This 1995 AMG W124 may not be the wildest, nor at over $111,000 is it the best priced, but as Rover 1, who found it notes, it seems “well worth it.” Congrats to Rover 1, and thank you all for participating in our weekly trifle.
