The 914 is widely regarded as the best handling sports car no one loved. As always, Ate Up With Motor has a great writeup, for those interested. Getting back to something more Hooniverse flavored, this car (“El Diablo”) throws all that handling balance and subtlety out the window in favor of more cubes. Specifically 350 Chevy-sourced, carbureted cubic inches. Clearly, this man does care how many cylinders his car has. Usually this is where we paraphrase the description and add our own pithy commentary. Instead (and we can assure this has nothing to do with our own laziness), we’re just going to let the seller’s description speak for itself:

The main person Rod Simpson  how started to converted porches with v8 engine and the Renegade . I met him person and i saw his cars 1966  Porsche 912 with v8 600HP 0-60 2.4  the top speed (209miles) and 1973 Porsche 914 with v8 with z28 motor! When hi started his car i know i will have one some days. Than I decided  to buy 914 v8  car! I goth the car with rebuilt motor! It has 2 month old paint (russo italia color what is used for Alfa Rome and Ferrari !) It is a really nice color in the sun light! The car has Chevrolet  clutch what is 10 better than the high performance Porsche clutch. The car has lot of power and it is fast like rocket! I even scared to drive around! It has a 901  5 speed transmission. The car has nice rims with good tires! The car has oil pressure gauge and water temperature as well! all lights are in working order! It is a fun car for adults! I do not recommended this  car for young drivers! It has 300-400 HP motor!( i do not know what kind of cams in the motor)

So yeah, adults only. We’re a little suspicious, but with a mid-mounted motor, the increase in weight isn’t going to be quite as big a change as in some other V8 swaps. In fact, it looks like a lot of fun…as the Devil always does.
