Build Your Own Gremlin!

Clickify to embiggenate.

This little advertisement was used to encourage people to purchase the 1972 Gremlin, perhaps on the premise that once they’d put that much effort into building one, they might as well go and purchase the slightly-bigger version.
It didn’t really work. But there is still a silver lining! Because now you can make your very own version of the car nobody wanted! Print it out, build your own, and take a photo of the place of honour in which it will now reside. Then post that photo below, and join the cult-like loving community of AMC enthusiasts.

I build very complex models ships for a hobby. Why do I fear this??

Oh no, not another one! I gave up building the paper Uberbird after 5 hours. There is no way in hell I will even attempt this.

I broke three flatscreens and two CRTs trying to cut and fold the last one but it kept disappearing.

The 1972 build-your-own Volvo was a little simpler to assemble.

Do I get extra points if I make and install a little tiny Levi's interior?

Thanks to CAR magazine, here's one those doesn't require any assembly other than sticking on a badge – just pluck it from a tree.

Yeay! This will match my last futile cutout attempt of a Datsun 510 quite nicely.

I took the liberty of removing the door ad.
Also, I appear to have run out of red ink.

Yeah I am low on every Ink but red, so mine is shaded an oddly satisfying shade of pink…

I think that is a much better colour for the Gremlin then red, very 70's

You got rid of the ad on the side BEFORE printing it? I should've thought of that…
