1971 baja bronco

An old Baja Bronco is a wonderful thing

The original Ford Bronco is an iconic machine. Prices are climbing on even crusty examples because people love the shape, the style, the noise, and joy the that comes with driving an old SUV. One of my favorite versions of the OG is the Bill Stroppe Baja Bronco. A man named Eric Oberlander has one and it’s original and in excellent shape. In a video produced by Hagerty, he talks about why he loves owning and driving it.

The visuals in the above video are rather impressive. But more impressive are the shots towards the end showing off the large garage Oberlander has with many more Broncos tucked away. His goal is to open a Bronco museum someday, and he’s clearly on his way to acquiring the pieces necessary to do so. I need a second video exploring exactly what he has in that space because I’m left intrigued and wanting more.

For now, though, the beautiful shots of his 1971 Baja Bronco will have to do.
