With the 24 Hours of Daytona coming up this weekend, Eric Rood and I decided to sit down and have a recorded conversation about this absolutely stacked field of talent for this race. It worked well for our 25 Hours of Thunderhill preview last year, so why not do it again?
Every single class has depth, and aside from a few cars here and there, there really aren’t any clear favorites. We break it all down for you, and let you know our pics for the win. This is going to be good!

I really enjoy sitting down and discussing endurance sports car racing with Mr. Rood. Under normal circumstances, it is difficult to find people as enthusiastic and excitable as I am, but he fits the bill and then some. When it comes to knowledgeable individuals to discuss sports cars with, I consider myself half-decent and moderately informed, but Eric takes it to another level. Nerd. Anorak. Pedant. All terms of endearment, mind you.

This was recorded the night before qualifying, mind you, so we had no idea what was REALLY under the hood of some of those cars. The overall pole position was a surprise to both of us, and certainly makes me think the Shank Ligier could be a dark horse for the overall win on Sunday. Listen along and comment your picks below.

      No?
Rolex is the title sponsor of the 24 Hours of Daytona.
The 12 Hours of Sebring is now known as the "Mobil 1 Twelve Hours Of Sebring Fueled By Fresh From Florida Orange Juice"
      You're welcome.

        A thousand times this.
Actually, I'd take a Timex sponsorship. Or the guy in Hong Kong who sells all kinds of cheap watches, of which I own a Chrysler TC by Maserati one.
