The nice thing about car shows is that most owners lift the hood of their cars to show off the engine, which is not normally the case when you stumble upon a cool car in the wild. At the Abundant Life Car Show last Saturday morning, I had a chance to study some underhood details at length, and the result is this collection of thirteen examples just how different, yet wonderful in its own unique way, each car’s engine room can be.

So is it safe to assume since the dizzy is against the firewall in the F-1, it's running a sbc? 'Cause I haz a sad if it is. Although the built 302 in the black stang next to it (If I did my sleuthing correctly) certainly helps to make up for it 😀

+1. I think the baddest F-1's and F-100s are the ones running flatheads and Y-blocks. Modern Ford power is slightly less revolting than a SBC, but the only swap worth a crap is something old school crazy like a Caddy motor or a 392 Hemi.

I love the Cross Rams. Did someone start making these after market? I never saw one in my life until a few years ago, now I see them everywhere.

It's pretty cool seeing what some people do with their engine compartments. Even the same basic engine can be given a personal touch, as evidenced by the three 302/5.0L engines in the album.
I desire a mess of white header going straight out the back of my car. -
