2012 Anti-Football Run

Every January 1, classic car enthusiasts from all over the San Francisco Bay Area get together in Sausalito and go for a spirited drive through the hills of Marin and Sonoma Counties.  Here are just a few of the cars at 2012’s Run. Be careful, picture intensive, may cause uncontrollable drooling.
At the starting point in Sausalito, people parked randomly.  And yet, there was order to the chaos.
This very red RHD Mercedes 200T was featured in Bring A Trailer.
ISO and CRX.
For the Run, I got a ride in my friend Rich’s 1986 Alfa Romeo GTV6.  It has a 3 liter V6 from the Milano.

Orange Lamborghini Islero and orange Volvo 142.
MGB-amino.
Triple parked.
Tatras are always crowd pleasers.
On the way to Stinson Beach.  For you Sharon Stone fans, the Lotus chase in Basic Instinct was filmed on this road.

What’s that in the rear view mirror?

It’s a Talbot!
The proud owner of this Bentley Turbo RL showed off the immaculate engine bay.
Double parked in front of the Petaluma Creamery.
The end.  After getting dropped off back in Sausalito, this BMW Neue Klasse was parked next to my Popemobile.
