Now this olelongrooffan admits there are a couple of vehicles of which I would like to own in tandem but know this my fellow Hoons, gold Saturns, especially not longroofs, are nowhere to be seen on that list.

Maybe one is a single cam, and the other a twin cam? Maybe they thought they could better fumigate the neighborhood with two oil burners? I would sell both of them and get a skateboard. Saturns are cars for people who hate cars.

I owned a Saturn SW2 wagon for several years. In fact, it was the 2nd one off the assembly line, according to the sales folk who kept me apprised of my early adopter status. No troubles with it, but I did precisely what GM product planners intended and moved up to an Oldsmobile. A '72 Vista Cruiser with glorious 455 power. Alright, so perhaps not precisely what they planned, but it was an Oldsmobile.

      Was it your father's Oldsmobile?

Funny. My parents have two SL2's sitting in their driveway, both with over 300,000 miles on the engines. They hurt my back to drive, they're slow and wheezy, but they do run a long, long time.

Drawing from many years of IT experience and invaluable competence I conclude with the following advice: Don't use Microsoft's browser.

IE is great… for downloading Firefox or Chrome.

edit: ID ate the quoting, I just googled "very good blog!" with a linkto: the URL that sap mm points to.

I owned a few Saturn S-series from 1999-2012. They rattle, ride poorly, burn oil and have no power but they burn little fuel, safe, reliable and when they do break are stupid easy and cheap to work on.

We also had two sl-2's these cars are decent handlers and cold surprise the odd riced up integra. My brother and I used to have a blast terrorizing the ricer with ours. The seats where terrible as their foam had recycled itself within the first five years but our two never had the rattly, squeeky dash and the only repair was the 98 (other was a 2000) ate its diff pin within three months of ownership.

I had a '02 SC1 for a while, about the only thing it did good was gas mileage – I got 38mpg on a 1200 mile trip back from Florida cruising at 80+.
The shifter was sloppier then a hooker's pussy and the engine was as strong as scotch tape.
