Vintage Aussie Racing To Get You To The Weekend

Holden Torana. Yes, it's from post-1974. Find me a good '72 Touring Car photo, and I'll use that one instead!

Having a rough Friday? Wearily watching the clock, counting down the minutes until you’re set free to enjoy your weekend? Well if it makes you feel any better, I’m sitting on the couch drinking coffee and Bailey’s today. What’s that you say? It didn’t help? Strange.
Well then perhaps The Incomparable Mr. Scroggs can help, just as he’s helped before. He’s provided you with some vintage racing from the Land Down Undah. Specifically, from the 1972 South Pacific Touring Car championship. Now we all know how much I loves me some Aussie racing. Those lads can always be relied on for entertainment, and while they’re slightly insane, they know what it takes to extract performance from some big Merkin V8’s. So hit the jump, and let Mr. Scroggs’ discovery eat up some of your afternoon.
Just… maybe give yourself a little bit of time before you start your commute home?

    That Torana pictured isn't a '72, it's a '74+.

Considering the wonderful CaffeineFuelled commented yesterday, "If we ever get married, we should do our gift registry at AutoTrader", I'm gonna hafta go with no. But try Scroggs.

Well, I guess I can't blame you 😉 You got lucky (pun not necessarily intended) with that one.

Damn, I have the right girl, but I'm pushing for plural marriage.
That photo, by the way, is iconic to any fan of Aussie racing. Learn it. Love it. Dream it.

Surprising how that lengthy (by modern standards) tire change was, "..very quick service, indeed."

Love that front-inside tire lift on the corner exit.
