VIDEO: History of the NSX and a look into the future

At the Detroit Auto Show, in Detroit, Acura showed off the NSX Concept. The car generated a ton of buzz in the automotive industry, and right away automotive experts spewed out a ton of opinions about it. Surprisingly, they were mostly positive, with a few negatives thrown in by those who just had to be different.

I am not going to give you my opinion of the concept; instead, I would like to ask you, what do you think about the NSX concept?

Before we look at the new concept it would be worthwhile to look at the original NSX. Despite RX-7s, Supras, and Z cars, the NSX was considered the first Japanese exotic, what with its two seats and a mid-mounted engine. It was never the fastest car of its type, but some say that it was the most rewarding. We have recently learned that it was, and is, one of the most reliable and least expensive “exotics” ever, and when introduced it had the performance of Ferrari F355 for a much lower price.

So, what is the 2014 Honda/Acura NSX suppose to be?

How much should it cost?

How fast should it be?

What should it be cross-shopped against?

And finally, do you like the concept?

Honda has just released the below video which pays homage to the original NSX and gives us a glimpse at the new one. Enjoy.
