I absolutely love the Mitsubishi Pajero Evolution. It’s a wicked factory homologation special built to allow Mitsubishi the ability to run its race trucks in the T2 class at the Dakar Rally. These are capable, reliable, well-built machines. But you can always use more power right? Of course! Which is why one owner/builder decided to stuff a GM 6.2-liter L86 V8 under the hood, add a supercharger, and then pair it with GM’s 10-speed gearbox.
The finished build looks amazing, especially with that red paint. You have a perfect set of wheels, a well-sorted interior, and a monstrous machine that appears to play very nicely in daily-driver traffic situations. This thing is fantastic, and it’s making me daydream swaps for my own Montero.
And yes, I do wish the Cummins R2.8 was California smog-legal.
