The Trip Across Paris

La Traversée de Paris
La Traversée de Paris (The Trip Across Paris) is a 1956 French comedy film. It’s also the name of a French classic cars rally that took place on the 8th of January, with almost 540 enthusiast cars partaking. One of the participants was famed film director Claude Lelouch, in a classic white Ford Mustang – like the one featured in Une Homme et une femme, one of his films. Lelouch also directed C’était un rendez-vous, in which a roaring car (Ferrari or Mercedes-Benz 450SEL 6.9, depending of the source) blasts across Paris. The pace of the cars here must have been slightly slower, and you’re free to take your time with admiring each of the 235 excellent photos by photographer Ugo Missana. A few teasers: Triumph TR4/5 and a great moustache Classic Porsche 911 in arresting orange What might this be? Or this? One of the newer cars here – a RenaultSport Clio V6 I’m pretty sure they got Starsky & Hutch in France. Browse the gallery. It’s so large, it’s easier to note down what cars weren’t there, than what can be seen.   See the complete gallery here La traversee dé Paris 2012 [Source: ugomissana @ Flickr | Thanks for the tip, Vavon!]
