Hoonipigasus Porsche

The Hoonipigasus is a perfectly ridiculous Pikes Peak-prepped Porsche

Ken Block is heading to the 100th Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, and he’s arriving with a monster in tow. This beastly creation is called the Hoonipigasus. It’s a heavily modified Porsche 911 made to look both vintage in spots, yet Time Attack-capable in others. Designed with BBi Autosports, the car features an AWD setup built to handle the 1,400 horsepower twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter flat-six. There’s a SADEV sequential gearbox, a 2,200-pound curb weight, and a strong desire to set the fastest time ever.

That course record currently stands at 7:57 and was dispatched via an electric Volkswagen. So this will be quite a challenge, but the car is clearly built for this event. In fact, it features a GPS-linked suspension setup that adjusts to the course where required. This is based on all the telemetry data BBi has collected during its previous runs up the hills with a handful of vehicles.

The Hoonipigasus is an insane monster. And it’s just the sort of thing we expect from Block when he debuts a new racing machine. We will absolutely be tuning in to see how it all goes during the 2022 Pikes Peak Hill Climb, which runs on June 26th.
