Mystery Car

Welcome to the first Mystery Car contest of 2017! It’s…, it’s… well to be honest, pretty much like the Mystery Cars we had last year and before that. But still, 2017! Make and model, future people.

Looks like an Isetta with the optional ‘tropical’ door vents.

Oh, wait, we’re supposed to include make: BMW, not Iso, Romi, or VELAM. I suppose it could be a Romi if someone added the vents themselves but I don’t think they were available as original equipment on those.

It is in fact a BMW. I cropped out the “turbo” badge the present owner had applied as I thought that might throw too many off. Well done!

A “turbo” badge on an Isetta is just silly. Everyone knows a draw-through supercharger is the way to go.

Are the vents intended to make it MORE, or LESS, tropical inside?

Well, stigshift, that’s more or less correct but there’s some discussion as to whether it’s more tropical in there or more savanna.
