Our Meguiar’s Father’s Day contest turned up some pretty great stories. Thanks to everyone who shared their own tale. Still, some tales were better than others… such is life.

The voting, of course, was made difficult by the fact that some stories were a bit longer and had to be stretched to multiple comment boxes. To make it fair, I added up the comment boxes for a story total. Thankfully, the grand-prize winner was from a single, strongly voted upon comment so there will be no controversy there. If you feel slighted by whatever the outcome is below, send me a note and I’ll see what I can do for you.

Here are the winners:

3rd Place: Irishzombieman☆ – A great tale about a father providing his boys with a scrappy automotive play thing to wrench around on. The old Falcon proved to be a wonderful teaching aid… even if pops didn’t have it planned that way.

2nd Place: OA5599 – A junkyard never-never-land could’ve yielded a fortune but money was only good for a portion. The trips to and fro to rescue the bounty proved to be more than enough to send OA5599 down the path of automotive love.

1st Place: Gooberpeaz – An MGB finds a way into the home… and 25 years later, another one shows up.
