At least he stuck the landing.

That reminds me of another U-Haul incident Jalopnik mentionned a long while ago. 🙂 http://jalopnik.com/5593280/biggest-douche-in-universe-shows-why-you-never-load-a-car-on-a-u-haul

“…and that’s where Kia Spectra Hatchbacks come from.”

Ah, the old “put the car in neutral and drive the truck out from under it” trick. Saves you a bundle on ramps.
-
And Washington plates, too.
Mdharrell, is that you?-
Oh, please. Give me some credit. I would have loaded it nose-first for better weight distribution.

I swear to Ghod I know where this is. It looks like the Kent East Hill or Renton.

Having finally arrived in the Saturday afternoon sofa, I was suddenly exposed to shockus automobilis severus: A Mini ad focusing around how cheap it is to lease the thing (what?) and, worse, they use a SAAB 99 (!) to shine some attitude on the current Mini. The SAAB also carries American plates compared to the Norwegian-licensed Mini. So that’s triple wrong and I’m only on page 10 of my magazine.

This reminds me of a recent Ford commercial that annoys me a lot. I can’t find it on Youtube, but it goes something like this:
“Car buying is complicated.”
(Shows couple looking at financing percentages, total price of the car, different payment choices, etc.)
“We made it simple.”
(Shows just bi weekly payment)
The wife/girlfriend says, “Just like my paycheck!”
-
For some reason I find myself looking past the Mini and at the SAAB.
-
Entirely rational behaviour. When I turned the page, the SAAB was what jumped at me, and then I got annoyed that it actually was a Mini ad I was looking at…
The whole payment-by-date-phenomenon is baffling. It appears a lot of people don’t look past that number, even though banks and financial parts need to display more info in the fine print already. -
For
someeminently reasonable aesthetic preferences, I find myself looking past the Mini and at the SAAB.
FIFY 😉

Perhaps a fellow New Yorker was taking the pilgrimage to Trollhattan like I plan to some day, and just happened to get caught in the background of a photoshoot. 😉

Spotted a van I thought the hoonitariat might appreciate.

Heck yes. Too bad it’s not a manual.
