Last Call: The Hoonicorn is a genuine piece of art

By Colby Buchanan Feb 11, 2020

Back in 2014 when Gymkhana 7 was released, I remember being so pumped by this build and the video. The style and raw power on a 4WD Mustang platform was nuts and give it 845 ponies, yeah, I was hooked. Seeing this video of the beast rip around brought back a lot of memories. I’ll never get tired of hearing the NA V8 smack the rev limiter as Ken gracefully whips it around corners. The twin-turbo set up he converted it to later is also sick, but I prefer the more pure, monster sound personally. If you haven’t seen Gymkhana 7 then I genuinely feel bad for you because it’s one of the most badass videos I’ve seen in my life.

If you haven’t watched the documentary on how Gymkhana 10 was made on Amazon Prime you should check it out. It’s cool to watch the finished product after seeing how many obstacles they had to overcome.

Last Call indicates the end of Hooniverse’s broadcast day. It’s meant to be an open forum for anyone and anything. Thread jacking is not only accepted, but it’s also encouraged.

  1. The twin turbos look cool sticking out of the hood, but I too prefer the NA version. Such a beast of a car.
