Likewise, but I’ve lost my mojo with the Eunos Roadster/Miata. Blame it on just not having a good run with this car (bought just before deciding to buy a house, it got neglected for way too long, got the sills repaired, weren’t done properly, neither was the remedial work under warranty, two attempted breakins) and well I guess I’ve just done the Miata thing before with better examples, so this feels like a shadow of those cars.
Miata is always the answer, except when it’s not, and I think I need something a little quirkier to fire up the mojo again. Not going to say what the next move is till I’ve got it though.
I’ve offered a friend first refusal on the Eunos, and I hope he takes me up on it, because there’s something nice about knowing your old cars go to good hands rather than disappear into the sunset.-
To jump on the Miata theme, I think the answer is just drive the car! In particular find a fun drive to do, like just literally head for the hills, something a bit different from the normal commute.
As an example, on the weekend I drove a rental Iveco Daily van a couple of hundred miles which was great mostly because it was a different experience.-
That’s the thing, I drove something else. 😉
