At the other end of the market…given our rural dwelling and Norwegian prices in general, I order a lot from AliExpress. Ever since Torch bought his cheap EV, the magic of cookies has connected that idea and my regular commerce hub. So I get ads for stuff like this pretty face. Also available as a three wheeler for a 10% discount, these things look like someone strived to do “some designing”, but failed really hard. They’re so hard to look at, looking away seems like a natural reaction. I especially like how the interior designers picked up the trend for diamond shape patterned “leather” floor mats.
I’ve only recently begun noticing these things, knots hanging from the rear view mirror; mostly on tuner cars and those aspiring to be a tuner car.
I must not be paying much attention, or they just made it to the West Coast, because the first web search return explaining them (some kind of cultural appropriation I’m not going to attempt here) dates back to 2009.
