If it doesn’t also come with those HOV lane single occupancy stickers, then I’m not interested.

Given the choice, I'd travel exclusively by coal-burning steam-engined tractor.
-
Isn't that the 2012 Durango? The ads tell me it's been working out at the gym.
-
Ah, the traction engine. Steampunk to the max!
-
They are still road legal in the UK. Anyone know their status in the US?
I own a fully functional 1:12 scale model that pulls me with ease: it's slower than walking but a lot more fun!-
Tractors usually get a pass traveling on the road, you just have to say you are traveling between different fields.
the little town where I live usually has 1-2 dozen steam tractors in the 4th of July parade every year. They make them come in at the halfway point of the parade route, the big ones aren't much faster than walking either.

North America is the Saudi Arabia of coal… What's a little soot between friends?
-
Giles, would you stoke the fire, we appear to be a tad bit low on ye olde Psi indy-K-tor.
-
What's really neat about these things is how quiet they actually are. You'd think they'd be loud, but they just kinda hiss and exhale a little. Fascinating creatures.
-
But in all likelihood you'd be blasting epic music so loud you'd be heard across the state border, for the safety of children crossing the streets. Somebody think of the children!
I'm thinking Flight of the Valkyries.-
Gustave Holst's "Mars, The Bringer of War" Blasting from a steam-powered amplifier…….
Screw the little brats. It's MY toy; I'm driving it! And you can't play! NYAH NYAH!

I've been lucky enough to have a hand in running several over the years- I concur.
Clanking steering chains, squeaking governors/flywheels/belts and rumbling steel
wheels make far more noise than the boiler itself. Most excellent fun.

I used to have nightmares of old steam tractors like this when I was a kid.
-
And the steam whistle can be heard for miles
