A friend of mine has always said that with enough time and money, anything is possible. In the case of this 924 Trike, I guess you could add to that equation enough PBR.

I guess he still wanted a Porsche, but was absolutely sick of the "pricks on the inside" joke? Or a PCA member who prefers this over a stock 944, just because it's mid-engined?
-
Despite the engineers' best efforts, Porsche management simply didn't feel the world was ready for the 462.
-
We've all been there, when all the cash you can scrape together would only buy half a Porsche.

(alt) "We've all been there, drunken, with a sawzall and a couple rolls of duck-tape".
Not sayin your cousin DESERVES it, leaving that Porsche with you while upstate serving his time, but hey, these things happen.-
Dammit, I was saving that duck tape for something important!

Is that a V-Rod prototype?

Definitely more unique that the typical VW powered trike.

He just moved up-market.

I am really, really curious how the output of that motor makes it to the wheels.

Not bad in concept, if you're into the trike thing to begin with. Taking advantage of the 944's rear mounted transaxle. From the picture, it looks like he's not using any kind of bike motor (at least not in the traditional motorcycle location), but any shaft drive bike could be rigged to output to the transmission. The upside of that would be a 25 or 30 speed gear box (plus 5 or 6 in reverse!)
-
I'll bet he wimped out and went with a VW boxer and trans-axle. You can just see a dub-style exhaust pipe below the rear bumper.
-
Since most of the 924s used the transaxle straight out of the VW Dasher/Audi Fox it would be real easy to bolt one of those up.

At least he no longer has to suffer with the flappy broken sunroof.
