Last Call Hood Ornament Edition

You might enjoy adorning the nose of your car with a festive wreath come the holiday season, it’s a bit of decoration that can bring a smile to faces of even the most hard-hearted scrooge. Once the holidays are over however, it’s all about football. A Seattle Seahawks fan has decided to festoon his Hummer with the likeness of Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford. Seattle beat Detroit in their final match up of the season 26 to 6, so perhaps the shocking display worked. Let’s just try and not make a habit of this, okay?
Last Call indicates the end of Hooniverse’s broadcast day.  It’s meant to be an open forum for anyone and anything. Thread jacking is not only accepted, it’s encouraged.

Should we make a comment about how the Hummer has the player through its grill?
Yeah we probably shouldn’t do some kind of lame glory hole thing.

And here I was just going to ask whether the QB got sacked in the game

Damn. Tonight’s headache … lower ball joints on ’54 Ford. Strangest ones I’ve seen, fixed into the LCA with three bolts, the third being a stud on a bump stop. Stud is seized in the hole on ball joint casting. Removal would be easy if I am willing to sacrifice 60 YO bump stop. I’m not.

Matthew Stafford, the pride of Highland Park. That is, until Jerry Jones’s grandson makes it to the NFL. Our high school was one of only two that beat Highland Park (5A state champion) and John Stephen Jones this year.

So the CEL codes on the Volvo ended up being…the MAF Sensor. Ergh. That was an expensive fix, although it did last over 200,000 miles and still cost less than 2 new car payments.
