The 1930s were not just the era of the Great Depression and the formulation of discord in Germany, it was also the age of the Art Deco, Art Nouveau, Streamline and Zigzag Moderne movements. This 1935 BMW R7 demonstrates a style atypical of the German marque, but fully appropriate to the art movement which flourished in pre-war Germany, and which was stiffed by that conflict. Luckily for us, examples such as this exquisite specimen survive to this day.
