Don’t worry, I have snow tires.

So the local Subaru dealer is touting symmetrical AWD in their radio ads as a feature “to help you stop at those lights and stop signs”.
    …wait what?

It’s true! I have asymmetrical RWD and I haven’t stopped at a stop sign since 2013. It’s all I can do to stop for the red lights.

It can help, but only with a Standard Transmission. Also, helps to have a larger engine or something with high compression.

        Correct.
The Audi TransAm cars were known for their balance under deep braking.

My experience with Subaru suggests that the role of symmetrical AWD in stopping is limited to providing some compensation for crappy brakes.

I don’t believe the symmetrical claims; I bet the diffs have crown wheels on one side only

So, despite Tanshanomi’s warning, I went to my local Triumph event. It was about as corny as he described (although I have a soft spot for corny), but hey, free tacos and beer, so that was nice. I stuck around long enough to actually see the Bobber as well. I would’ve liked to play around with the adjustable seat, but that wasn’t going to happen with the crowds (not even sure it can be done without an allen key). I’m not going to say I like the looks over the standard, but it’s one of the more appealing options with a low seat height. I also like all the stainless steel and similar, that they went shiny without going full Harley chrome (I suppose this is similar to the brass options on the Yamaha Bolt).

I’m playing this mobile game, Hill Climb 2, as a brain steam off valve in between, before or..eh..during meetings. Look at this screenshot and tell me what’s off:

Yeah I saw that come up as an update today. I’m looking forward to using it once i have the gold. By the way I think I raced against your ghost early on. You would have seen Fodder in the background.

I think you might have won that round actually.

Woohoo, thoroughly surprised. I often get ghosts that are a level / tier below my level, which is a bit boring.

Is it that the door handle that makes the the rear door look like it opens forward? Given the angled door opening, that would logically require some very cleverly offset hinges, and would block the front door when opened.

I think it’s tire clearance – the tires have to rub at the base of the wheel openings …

The green truck’s rollbar and windshield only come up to the driver’s eye level. When that thing flips over, start prepping organ recipients for their surgery.
