Are you ready to jump into the high-revving world that is shit-box racing? I’ve got the perfect starting point for you and your team. There’s a 1985 Porsche 944 for sale on Facebook Marketplace, and it’s priced at that $500 magic point. The car is a former LeMons racer with what appears to be a well-built cage. This car has the bones to be a fast machine out on the track. Sure, it’s missing an engine but that will be part of the fun on this one.

Here’s the full text from the ad:

Porsche 944 Race Car Needs Work
1985 1984 Porsche 944
fuel: gas
title status: clean
transmission: manual

This used to be our shop 1984 944 race car used in LeMons but the team has since moved on. At our last event the engine spun a bearing and we never found the time to swap the engine so the car has been sitting for some time.

Modifications include:
6 Point Cage from Pierce Motorsport in Torrance (2800$)
Hotbits Suspension w/ Camber Plates (1000$)
Standalone Engine Management System w/ Tune for Stock Engine included
Oversized radiator for hotter weather
Damage to left rear quarter panel
Red sunroof

Find a worn 302. Slam it into that engine bay. And have a hot-rodded 944 that’s ready for LeMons glory. The listing can be found here.
